Changing your mailbox password

You can change the passwords of your mailboxes via the hosting Control Panel, as well as via the Roundcube and Webmail Classic webmail clients. The process will vary depending on your webmail client of choice:

Roundcube

To change your mailbox password via Roundcube, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Settings task from the main menu.
  2. Select the Password setting.
  3. Enter your current password in the Current Password field and your new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
    Note: You will notice that there is a password strength indicator below the New Password field. It will update in real time as you are entering your new password. There are five distinct levels of password strength: Very Weak, Weak, Fair, Strong, and Very Strong. Along with the password strength indicator, you will also get information and hints in a tooltip beside the indicator. Note that the Change button will remain inactive (grayed out) if the password level is Very Weak or Weak.
  4. Click on the Save button.

Webmail Classic

If you want to change your mailbox password via Webmail Classic, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Options tab from the main menu.
  2. Go to the Change Password section.
  3. Enter your current password in the Old password field and your new password in the New password and Re-type password fields.
    Note: You will notice that there is a password strength indicator below the New Password field. It will update in real time as you are entering your new password. There are five distinct levels of password strength: Very Weak, Weak, Fair, Strong, and Very Strong. Along with the password strength indicator, you will also get information and hints in a tooltip beside the indicator. Note that the Change button will remain inactive (grayed out) if the password level is Very Weak or Weak.
  4. Click on the Change button.
