Adding and removing contacts from groupsThe process of adding and removing contacts from groups will vary depending on your webmail client of choice:
Note: One contact can be added to multiple groups.
Roundcube
You can add contacts to groups by following these steps:
- Click on the Contacts task from the main menu.
- Select the contacts you wish to add to a group.
Note: You can select multiple contacts using the Ctrl (or ⌘ Command if you use a Mac keyboard) and ⇧ Shift keys on your keyboard.
- Drag the selected contacts from the contacts list, and drop them on top of the group where the contact should be assigned.
Webmail Classic
To add or remove a contact from address book groups, you need to:
- Edit the specific contact by selecting the Address Book tab from the main menu and clicking on any of the details (Name, E-mail, Group, Filter) or the edit link for the respective contact.
- Select the groups where the contact should be assigned in the page that appears.
Note: You can select multiple contacts using the Ctrl (or ⌘ Command if you use a Mac keyboard) and ⇧ Shift keys on your keyboard.
- Click on the Update button to save the changes.
If you wish to add multiple contacts to a group:
- Click on the Address Book tab from the main menu.
- Select the checkboxes next to the specific contacts.
- Select the group where the contacts should be added from the Put in Folder drop-down menu above the contacts list.
- Click OK in the pop-up confirmation window that appears.
