Renaming mailbox folders

Note: The Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk Mail, and Trash folders cannot be renamed.

The process of renaming mailbox folders will vary depending on your webmail client of choice:

• Roundcube
• Webmail Classic
  
  

Roundcube

You can rename mailbox folders in Roundcube by following these steps:

1. Open the Settings task from the main menu.
2. Select the Folders setting.
3. Select the folder that you wish to rename from the folder list and information about the folder will appear in the right pane.
4. Enter the new name of the folder in the Folder name field.
5. Click on the Save button to rename the folder.

Webmail Classic

To rename a mailbox folder via Webmail Classic, you should:

1. Click on the Manage Folders button near the bottom of the Folder Status section (folder list) to access the Manage Folders page.
2. Select the checkbox next to the folder you wish to rename.
3. Enter the new folder name in the field next to the Rename to button.
4. Click on the Rename to button to finish the renaming process.

Note: You cannot use the following symbols as part of folder names: dot (.), slash (/), as well as opening and closing square brackets ([]).
