Supported e-mail protocols and portsIf you are using an email client program such as Outlook or Thunderbird, for example, you should configure it as follows:
Incoming (IMAP or POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) mail server: mail.your_server.comYou can find your server's host name listed in the upper left corner of your Control Panel.
For outgoing email, you can also use the SMTP server provided by your ISP, if one is available.

- SSL/TLS (implicit encryption) is the most secure way to communicate with the server. Encryption is mandatory, and it is established at the beginning of the SMTP session.
- STARTTLS (explicit encryption) is a way to upgrade a plaintext connection to an encrypted one. Encryption is optional and is initiated by your email program before logging in.
